Hunkpapa Sioux Warrior leader. (Sioux name Pizi) (1840–94), He was born in about 1840 on the Moreau River in what is
now South Dakota.

As a young man he became a noted warrior and later allied himself with his tribe's political leader, Sitting Bull, and acted
as his military lieutenant. Gall was a leader in the battle of the Little Bighorn (1876), but he later cooperated with the
